Kill Pixie is a painter and installation artist whose graffiti on the streets of Sydney earned him an uncanny understanding of space and scale. Nowadays his choice of medium is mostly ink and acrylic on paper, mounted on wood and coated in resin, but includes larger constructions in wood, fabric, metal and site specific murals.
His graphic use of restrained and informed colour palettes on geometric shapes, architecturally considered interiors and structures, lay the ground for his characters that are regularly subjects of a higher power. Parallel universes are created to convey very earthly and modern messages of dominance and submission, corruption, control and resistance.
Since 2006, Kill Pixie has shown in a constant stream of exhibitions in Los Angeles, London, Australia, Rome and Berlin. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
